GemCad for Windows is distributed as shareware. You can download the complete program and documentation and evaluate it for 30 days without any obligation to purchase it. The program expires and stops working after 30 days. After you purchase the program, you will receive your personal registration key (code) to reactivate it and prevent it from expiring. GemCad for Windows requires two DLL files. These files are very common and are probably already present on your system. They are MFC42.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL. These are found in your C:\Windows\System or C:\Windows\System32 folder. There are three self-extracting setup downloads. To use these, click on one of the links below. A dialog box will pop up. Choose the Save to disk option. Make a note of the file name. Find the file with Windows Explorer and click (or double click) on the file. Or you can do Start/Run/Browse to locate and run the setup program.
Which one do I need? If you have a fast connection, click download 1. If you have a slow connection or are certain you have the DLL files, click download 2. If you later discover you don't have the required DLL files, click download 3. If you want to create a floppy disk to install on a computer without an internet connection, click download 2 and optionally 3. Downloads 2 and 3 will require one diskette each. After you install the program, you can view the User's Guide in HTML format with your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, or Opera) with the Help/Contents menu command. There is also a shortcut to the User's Guide in the Start->Programs->GemCadWin folder. Remaining Problems Preform/Create CAM command often doesn't work. |
